Situated along 26th Street just inland from the Gulf, this residence is organized to frame water views while responding to the emerging coastal fabric of Mexico Beach. The massing is defined by a simple gabled form elevated above grade, establishing a clear architectural presence while allowing the primary living spaces to engage the horizon. Deep balconies and layered outdoor rooms extend the interior outward, creating a sequence of shaded thresholds that mediate between the house and its coastal environment.

The architecture emphasizes proportion, light, and view. The primary living level is conceived as an open volume where kitchen, dining, and living spaces align toward the water, allowing daylight to penetrate deep into the interior through tall, carefully placed openings. A central kitchen anchors the plan as both functional workspace and social core, while the surrounding glazing establishes a visual continuity between interior life and the shifting coastal landscape beyond.

Structurally expressed gable framing and restrained vertical siding reinforce a contemporary interpretation of Gulf Coast vernacular architecture. Elevated terraces and balconies provide multiple vantage points toward the shoreline, allowing the house to fully engage its proximity to the Gulf. The result is a residence defined by clarity of form and spatial openness, where light, air, and distant water views become the primary architectural elements shaping the experience of the home.
