Designed as a short-term rental home in the Barrier Dunes community on Cape San Blas, Florida, this coastal residence balances guest capacity, durability, and relaxed indoor-outdoor living. The elevated design responds to its coastal setting while providing covered parking and functional space at ground level.

Expansive screened porches extend across both living levels, creating generous outdoor spaces where guests can enjoy the Gulf Coast climate while remaining protected from insects and the elements. An outdoor kitchen further expands the usable living area and provides a natural gathering space for entertaining after a day at the beach.

Inside, an open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area was designed to comfortably accommodate larger groups and support the needs of a vacation rental. Large windows and direct connections to the screened porches bring natural light into the primary living spaces and reinforce the connection between the interior and outdoors.

The exterior draws from traditional Florida coastal architecture with broad roof overhangs, horizontal siding, a prominent central gable, decorative brackets, and layered porches. The result is a functional Cape San Blas beach house designed specifically for short-term rental use while maintaining the character appropriate to the Barrier Dunes community.
