This custom-designed townhome rebuilds a family-owned unit lost to Hurricane Michael, restoring a piece of Mexico Beach that has belonged to the clients since the late 1990's. As a single infill unit within a tightly spaced row of previously existing townhomes, the project demanded precise coordination with strict zoning, setback, and fire separation requirements.

The design responds with a compact footprint that carefully balances code compliance, constructability, and livability, while maintaining visual continuity with neighboring structures. Elevated construction meets current flood and wind-load standards, and the façade introduces fresh coastal finishes, clean detailing, and modern resilience. Inside, an efficient open-plan layout maximizes daylight and function, honoring the family's long-standing connection to the site with a thoughtful, enduring rebuild.
