Located within the Sunset Pointe community on Cape San Blas, this custom coastal home was designed to take advantage of the relaxed indoor-outdoor lifestyle of Florida’s Gulf Coast. MDA Studio provided architectural design, landscape design, and assistance navigating the Sunset Pointe HOA architectural review and submission process.

The home features expansive screened porches on both living levels, creating comfortable outdoor spaces while extending the living areas toward the surrounding coastal landscape. Tall vaulted ceilings give the primary living spaces an open, airy character, while carefully placed operable windows encourage natural ventilation and maximize airflow throughout the home.

The exterior combines familiar coastal materials and detailing with a simple gabled form, elevated construction, and integrated screening at the ground level. The architectural and landscape design were developed together to create a cohesive home that feels appropriate to Cape San Blas and the character of the Sunset Pointe community.
