Designed as a short-term vacation rental in St. Joe Beach, Florida, this custom coastal home combines an efficient rental-focused layout with the character of traditional Old Florida architecture. The elevated design responds to its coastal setting while creating covered parking and outdoor space beneath the home.

Expansive windows and glass doors were positioned to capture views toward the Gulf and bring natural light deep into the living spaces. Tall ceilings and an open kitchen, dining, and living area create a bright, spacious interior, with direct connections to stacked covered porches that extend the living space outdoors.

The exterior draws from the relaxed architectural character of Florida’s Gulf Coast through exposed rafter tails, deep roof overhangs, a simple metal roof, a mix of horizontal and vertical siding, and understated coastal detailing. Multiple porches provide outdoor living areas on both residential levels, while the rear yard incorporates a private pool and additional space for guests to gather.

The result is a St. Joe Beach vacation home designed to balance coastal character, durability, Gulf views, and the functional demands of a short-term rental property.
