Set along Reid Avenue, Port St. Joe’s historic main street established in the mid-1800's, this adaptive reuse project transforms a long-standing commercial structure into a vibrant new home for a local mobile bakery. The renovation involved a complete change of occupancy, requiring upgrades to meet modern accessibility, life safety, and commercial kitchen standards.
Original wood roof trusses and exposed brick walls were preserved, grounding the interior in the building’s historic fabric. The design introduces a soft, welcoming palette, custom display counters, and flexible seating to support both daily service and community gathering. The result bridges past and present, contributing new life to the historic core of downtown Port St. Joe.
