The Southside Transit Center is a new all-electric bus facility located at the corner of Orange Avenue and Meridian Street in Tallahassee. Designed by Dodstone Architects for the City of Tallahassee and StarMetro, the project includes eight covered bus bays, EV charging infrastructure, administrative offices, and flexible community space. The center was developed to improve transit access on the south side, where demand has grown steadily over the past decade.
As the first major transit hub built in the city since the 1980s, the project required extensive community engagement and coordination with multiple agencies. It’s part of a larger push to modernize Tallahassee’s public transit network and will serve as a key mobility hub for thousands of daily riders once it opens in 2026.
